In seinem Quartett spielt der italienische Jazz Pianist mit drei großartigen Musikern der europäischen Jazz Szene, Giacomo Tagliavia am Kontrabass, Marc Michel am Schlagzeug und Dima Bondarev an der Trompete, ein Repertoire von Eigenkompositionen, die Incorvaia in den letzten 5 Jahren komponiert hat. Das Davide Incorvaia Continuum Quartet versteht seine Musik als einen fortwährenden, unaufhörlichen Fluss, der keine klaren Trennungen zwischen den verschiedenen musikalischen Elementen kennt. Der Name „Continuum“ spiegelt genau diesen Ansatz wider: die Vorstellung, dass Musik nicht in starre Kategorien gepresst werden kann. In his quartet, the Italian jazz pianist plays with three outstanding musicians from the European jazz scene, Giacomo Tagliavia on double bass, Marc Michel on drums and Dima Bondarev on trumpet, performing a repertoire of original compositions that Incorvaia has written over the last five years. The Davide Incorvaia Continuum Quartet sees its music as a continuous, incessant flow that knows no clear divisions between the various musical elements. The name ‘Continuum’ reflects precisely this approach: the idea that music cannot be forced into rigid categories. For the quartet, this means that melody, harmony, rhythm and improvisation do not exist as separate entities, but as inseparable parts of a larger whole that is in constant flux.
