Amr Hammour ist ein musikalisches Ausnahmetalent. Der vielseitige und umtriebige Gitarrist, Sänger und Komponist präsentiert im Berliner Jazzclub „b-flat“ eine Mischung aus seinen neusten unveröffentlichen Kompositionen, Stücken von seinem Album “Eight Moments”, gewürzt mit der ein oder anderen eigenen Interpretation des Jazzkanons. Mit im Gepäck hat er eine top besetzte Band, gespickt mit den besten Musikern der kreativen Berliner Jazzsszene. Mit 8 Jahren begann Amr Hammour Klavier zu spielen, wechselte mit 12 zur Gitarre und arbeitete bereits mit 17 in verschiedenen musikalischen Projekten. Musik begleitete ihn also seit seiner Kindheit. Hammour hat einen ganz eigenen Stil gefunden, der sich durch ein starkes Harmoniegefühl auszeichnet, bezeichnet er doch als seine größten Einflüsse Barry Harris, Pat Metheny und Pat Martino. Hammour genießt das Improvisieren, die Interaktion mit Musikern und die Verbindung zum Publikum. Er trat mit Ziad Rahbani und seinem Trio auf, tourte in London mit Oli Hayhurst und Juliet Kelly und ist Gründungsmitglied des legenädren SS Jazz Orchestra, der ersten BigBand des nahen Ostens. Die Krönung dieser Arbeit waren Konzerte mit Bebop-Legende Charles Davis. Hammour spielt in verschiedenen Ensembles und veröffentlichte 2018 sein erstes offizielles Album "Eight Moments". Er hat seinen Sitz in Berlin und tourt regelmäßig durch Deutschland und Europa.
Amr Hammour is an exceptionally talented musician. The versatile and energetic guitarist, singer and composer presents a mix of his latest unreleased compositions, pieces from his album ‘Eight Moments’, spiced with one or two of his own interpretations of the jazz canon at the Berlin jazz club ‘b-flat’. He is accompanied by a top-class band, featuring the best musicians from Berlin's creative jazz scene. Amr Hammour began playing the piano at the age of 8, switched to the guitar at 12 and was already working on various musical projects at 17. Music has accompanied him since childhood. Hammour has found his own unique style, characterised by a strong sense of harmony, citing Barry Harris, Pat Metheny and Pat Martino as his greatest influences. Hammour enjoys improvising, interacting with musicians and connecting with the audience. He has performed with Ziad Rahbani and his trio, toured London with Oli Hayhurst and Juliet Kelly, and is a founding member of the legendary SS Jazz Orchestra, the first big band in the Middle East. The crowning glory of this work were concerts with bebop legend Charles Davis. Hammour plays in various ensembles and released his first official album, ‘Eight Moments,’ in 2018. He is based in Berlin and tours regularly throughout Germany and Europe.
