In diesem Jahr wäre der große griechische Komponist Mikis Theodorakis 100 Jahre alt geworden. Dies zu Anlass nehmend versammelt Jannis Zotos, den eine enge Freundschaft und Zusammenarbeit mit Theodorakis verband, hervorragende Musiker und Freunde um mit einem Tribute Konzert den Komponisten zu ehren. Es werden Lieder aus weniger bekannten Zyklen erklingen, wie Ta Lyrika (die Lyrischen Lieder), Ilios kai Chronos (Sonne und Zeit), Enas Omiros, aber auch bekannte Lieder, wie die Mauthausen Kantate und Tragoudia tou Agona (Lieder des Kampfes). Obwohl manche Lieder schonüber 60 Jahre alt sind, haben sie gerade heute nichts an ihrer Aktualität verloren.
This year, the great Greek composer Mikis Theodorakis would have turned 100 years old. To mark this occasion, Jannis Zotos, who was a close friend and collaborator of Theodorakis, has brought together outstanding musicians and friends to honour the composer with a tribute concert. The concert will feature songs from lesser-known cycles such as Ta Lyrika (The Lyric Songs), Ilios kai Chronos (Sun and Time), Enas Omiros, as well as well-known songs such as the Mauthausen Cantata and Tragoudia tou Agona (Songs of Struggle). Although some of the songs are over 60 years old, they have lost none of their relevance today.
