Das Weimarer Sextett Save the Cat bringt die Sorte Musik, die wie die Katze der klaren Linie immer misstraut. Textur trifft Groove, Songform trifft Störung. Stimme, Posaune, Klarinette, E-Gitarre, Kontrabass und Schlagzeug – und mittendrin Momente, in denen alles kippen darf. Weite Räume, kollektive Improvisation, überraschende Wendungen und abrupte Brüche. Schön und schief. Lustvoll verspielt. Mal fast Pop, dann wieder total zerlegt. Ein Sextett mit Harmonie, Herzschlag und Hang zum kontrollierten Kontrollverlust.
The Weimar-based sextet Save the Cat brings a kind of music that, like the cat, always mistrusts the straight line. Texture meets groove, song form meets disruption. Voice, trombone, clarinet, electric guitar, double bass, and drums – and in the middle, moments where everything can topple. Wide spaces, collective improvisation, surprising twists and abrupt breaks. Beautiful and crooked. Playfully spirited. Sometimes almost pop, then completely torn apart again. A sextet with harmony, heartbeat, and a taste for controlled chaos.
