Der Trompeter und Komponist Jakob Bänsch zählt zu den vielversprechendsten Rising Stars der europäischen Jazzszene. Die London Jazz News attestieren seiner Musik eine „mesmerizing, Bach-like intensity“, während ihn der renommierte New Yorker Jazzkritiker Bill Milkowski bereits mit dem jungen Wynton Marsalis vergleicht. Sein Debütalbum Opening wurde unter anderem mit dem Deutschen Jazzpreis 2024 als „Debütalbum des Jahres“ ausgezeichnet. Im Februar 2025 folgte sein zweites Album All The Others, welches impressionistische Klassik, modernen Jazz und Folk-Elemente kunstvoll miteinander verwebt.

His debut album Opening won the German Jazz Award 2024 for ‘Debut Album of the Year’, among other accolades. His second album, All The Others, followed in February 2025, artfully weaving together impressionistic classical music, modern jazz and folk elements.
