Ian Melrose (Schottland), Rüdiger Krause (Deutschland) und Nikos Tsiachris (Griechenland), die bereits mehrere Jahre gemeinsam im Rahmen des Gitarrenfestivals „Four Styles“ auf Tournee waren, zelebrieren die Gitarre in ihrer enormen Vielfalt. Mit ihren spannenden Eigenkompositionen überschreiten die drei erfahrenen Gitarristen stilistische Grenzen: Aus der wehmütig-melancholischen Weite einer keltischen Ballade wird eine feurige spanische Buleria; aus einem intensiven Blues wird ein schweißtreibendes Balkan-Jazz-Stück. Hinzu kommen originelle Interpretationen bekannter Klassiker von Bach und Mozart bis hin zu Dave Brubeck und Eric Clapton. Mit unbändiger Lust an Klangschönheit, Improvisation und Abenteuer beweist das virtuose Trio einmal mehr, warum die Gitarre eines der beliebtesten Instrumente der Welt ist.
The repertoire of this international trio ranges from classical music, jazz, pop, rock and blues to flamenco and world music. Ian Melrose (Scotland), Rüdiger Krause (Germany) and Nikos Tsiachris (Greece), who have been touring together for several years as part of the ‘Four Styles’ guitar festival, celebrate the guitar in all its enormous diversity. With their exciting original compositions, the three experienced guitarists transcend stylistic boundaries: the wistful, melancholic vastness of a Celtic ballad becomes a fiery Spanish buleria; an intense blues piece becomes a sweat-inducing Balkan jazz piece. Added to this are original interpretations of well-known classics from Bach and Mozart to Dave Brubeck and Eric Clapton.
