Ihr Debütalbum Two (2023), veröffentlicht bei Jazzland Recordings, erhielt große Anerkennung und wurde als „wunderschön, atmosphärisch und technisch beeindruckend“ beschrieben. The new generation of Nordic jazz! With a captivating atmosphere and thrilling interplay, the Tuva Halse Quintet draws the audience into its lyrical universe from the very first note. The music is based on compositions by violinist Tuva Halse, whose melodic character ranges from melancholic and soulful to intense and haunting. The result is a distinctive and emotional expression in a universe full of contrasts. Their debut album Two (2023), released by Jazzland Recordings, received great acclaim and was described as ‘beautiful, atmospheric and technically impressive’.
