Taurn ist ein Quintett, bestehend aus Giuseppe Capriello (Saxophon), Simone Ielardi (Gitarre), Vincenzo Bosco (Klavier), Raffaele Guandalini (Kontrabass) und Francesco Candelieri (Schlagzeug). Entstanden in Bologna, ihrem gemeinsamen Treffpunkt, lassen sie sich von den größten Vertretern der internationalen modernen Jazzszene inspirieren, darunter Walter Smith III, Ben Wendel, Gerald Clayton, Ambrose Akinmusire und viele andere. Von 2022 bis heute haben sie Dutzende von Originalstücken komponiert, deren Zusammenfassung in einer Aufnahmesession im Duna Studio zu ihrem ersten Album mit dem Titel „Somewhere Cold” führte. Dieses Werk drückt ihre immense Liebe zur Musik und die Suche nach ihrer eigenen Stimme aus. Diese Reise, die gerade erst begonnen hat, findet in einer gesättigten Welt statt, in der sich Bilder in tausend kleine Teile zerlegen: Dem Weg zu folgen, den sie hinterlassen, ist eine mögliche Interpretation des Lebens eines Künstlers,
Taurn is a quintet composed by Giuseppe Capriello (Sax), Simone Ielardi (Guitar), Vincenzo Bosco (Piano), Raffaele Guandalini (Double bass) e Francesco Candelieri (Drum). Born within the city of Bologna, their gathering point, they get inspired from the greatest exponents of the international modern Jazz scene such as Walter Smith III, Ben Wendel, Gerald Clayton, Ambrose Akinmusire and many others. From 2022 till today they composed dozens of original songs whose synthesis, in a recording session at the Duna Studio, led to their first album called “Somewhere Cold”. This work expresses their immense love for music and the journey towards the search of their own voice. This journey that has just started takes place in a saturated world which images fragment into a thousand more small parts: to follow the path that they leave is a possible interpretation of the life of an artist, and the first part of this trip is to a cold place, somewhere…
