Simona De Rosa ist Berufsmusikerin und Kulturforscherin und bewegt sich zwischen Jazz, zeitgenössischer Musik und Weltmusik. Sie hat als Solistin mit verschiedenen Orchestern und Ensembles in Italien und im Ausland zusammengearbeitet. Simona hat einen Abschluss in Jazzmusik vom Queens College in New York (USA) und einen Abschluss in Geowissenschaften von der Universität Neapel Federico II. Derzeit unterrichtet sie Jazz- und Popgesang an der Beijing Contemporary Music Academy (CMA) in Peking, wo sie auch als Lehrerin für Ensemblemusik und Gospelchor tätig ist.
