Guitarist Ramiro Olaciregui presents his Berlin-based quintet “TONIC.” This group brings together international musicians from the Berlin jazz scene and blends various musical genres, such as rock and funk, into a contemporary jazz setting. The name “TONIC” refers to the root of a particular piece of music that provides structure and coherence. Conceptually, it refers to the idea of staying connected to one’s roots. Both in music and in life, things have a beginning and an end that stem from a root and ultimately lead back to it.
