Das Finn Seemann Quintett verbindet die Tradition des Modern Jazz mit einer zeitgenössischen Vision, die auf musikalischen Freigeist und virtuosem Zusammenspiel basiert. Tief verwurzelt in der Ästhetik von Größen wie Thelonious Monk, Wayne Shorter, aber auch Contemporaries wie Kurt Rosenwinkel und Pablo Held, lotet die Band die Grenzen der Harmonie, des Rhythmus und der Melodik aus. Die Kompositionen von Finn bestechen durch ihren Facettenreichtum: Mal schwungvoll und verspielt, mal komplex und herausfordernd, immer getragen von einer starken improvisatorischen Energie.
The Finn Seemann Quintet combines the tradition of modern jazz with a contemporary vision rooted in musical free-spiritedness and virtuoso ensemble playing. Deeply rooted in the aesthetic of greats such as Thelonious Monk and Wayne Shorter, as well as contemporaries like Kurt Rosenwinkel and Pablo Held, the band explores the boundaries of harmony, rhythm and melody. Finn’s compositions captivate with their rich diversity: at times lively and playful, at times complex and challenging, always driven by a powerful improvisational energy.
