Das 2009 gegründete Tango Jazz Quartet aus Argentinien verbindet die melodischen und rhythmischen Muster des Tangos mit den Harmonien und der Improvisation des Jazz. Die Musik des Tango Jazz Quartetts reicht vom traditionellen Tango bis hin zur Musik von Astor Piazzolla, ohne dabei jemals das Terrain des Jazz zu verlassen. Mit mehr als 30 internationalen Tourneen ist das Tango Jazz Quartet bereits in den Vereinigten Staaten, Russland, China, Südafrika und mehreren südamerikanischen Ländern aufgetreten und hat dabei mehr als 35 Länder bereist. Die Band wurde vom Parlament von Buenos Aires zu „Tango-Botschaftern“ ernannt und wird vom argentinischen Außenministerium gefördert.
Founded in 2009, Tango Jazz Quartet from Argentina, mixes the melodic and rhythmic patterns of Tango with the harmonies and improvisation of Jazz. The music of Tango Jazz Quartet goes from the traditional tango to the music of Astor Piazzolla without ever abandoning the territory of jazz. With more than 30 international tours, Tango Jazz Quartet has performed in the United States, Russia, China, South Africa and several South American countries, touring more than 35 countries. The band has been declared "Tango Ambassadors" by the Buenos Aires Legislature and is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina.
