Israeli Saxophonist, Gal Liraz, hat mit dreizehn angefangen Saxophon zu spielen und in ein paar Jahre hat er sich in die Tel Aviv Jazzscene rein gearbeitet. Mit zwanzig ist er nach Berlin um am Jazz Institut Berlin zu studieren. Seit seinem Abschluss ist Berlin seine Basis um Weltweit in unterschiedlichen Besetzungen zu spielen. Das Quartett forscht die Landschaft des Jazz und durch bekannte 'Standards' originelle Kompositionen und weit reichendem Improvisation.
Israeli saxophonist Gal Liraz began playing the saxophone at the age of thirteen and, within a few years, had made a name for himself on the Tel Aviv jazz scene. At the age of twenty, he moved to Berlin to study at the Jazz Institut Berlin. Since graduating, Berlin has been his base from which he performs worldwide with various ensembles. The quartet explores the landscape of jazz through well-known ‘standards’, original compositions and extensive improvisation.
