Eine typische Berliner Melange tanzbarer Instrumentalmusik gespielt von einigen der besten Instrumentalisten der Berliner Jazzszene. Es ist Musik voller Virtuosität und lustvollem Spiel.
The Portuguese word ‘Conexão’ means ‘connection’. For the Berlin-based percussionist Andreas Weiser, this word is a statement of intent. For him, it signifies the convergence of cultures from different hemispheres without ignoring or diluting the distinct identities of their respective cultural backgrounds. Conexão Berlin represents the fusion of Brazilian-influenced Latin music with an explicitly European understanding of jazz. A typical Berlin blend of danceable instrumental music played by some of the finest instrumentalists on the Berlin jazz scene. It is music full of virtuosity and joyful playing.
