Doors open: 20:00 – Concert: 21:00
Emily Intsiful (voc, lyric leder), Pelle Buschmann (b), David Millàn (dr), Special Guest: Matt Shapiro (p, keys)
DENIM is more than just a band—it’s a planet, born in Berlin, where music becomes stories. At its heart is producer, singer, and songwriter Emily Intsiful: For five years, she was a backup singer for Nena; she captivated a wide audience in the quarterfinals of The Voice of Germany; and she is currently deepening her artistic practice at the Jazz-Institut Berlin. Drawing on her Ghanaian and Liberian roots, Emily creates the palette for DENIM’s soundscape—a tapestry of Afrobeats, Afrofuturism, and oral storytelling traditions. Here, love and pain, resistance and hope, dreams and reality come together in music that feels both foreign and familiar: an invitation to enter the garden of humanity.
