Das Quartett „SW4“ besteht schon seit mehreren Jahren. Eine Band aus Berlin, die an einem eigenen Repertoire arbeitet und in den lokalen Clubs auftritt. Auf renommierten europäischen Festivals gastierte das Quartett unter anderem beim Jazzfestival Groningen, Villach, Cologne Jazz Week. Bei dem Konzert im b-flat am 25. Mai spielt das Quartett vorwiegend Kompositionen von Schlippenbach, freie Improvisationen sowie Spezialbearbeitungen von Jazzklassikern. Im Juni wird SW4 im Berliner Tonstudio Zentrifuge einen Tonträger produzieren.
The quartet ‘SW4’ has been around for several years. A band from Berlin that works on its own repertoire and performs in local clubs. The quartet has performed at renowned European festivals, including the Groningen Jazz Festival, Villach and Cologne Jazz Week. At the concert at b-flat on 25 May, the quartet will mainly play compositions by Schlippenbach, free improvisations and special arrangements of jazz classics. In June, SW4 will produce a recording in the Berlin recording studio Zentrifuge.
