KRiSPER ist ein Projekt, das 2016 vom rumänischen Pianisten Adi Stoenescu ins Leben gerufen wurde. Im Jahr 2017 veröffentlichte KRiSPER sein Debütalbum „Landing on the Comet“. Seitdem trat die Band bei bedeutenden Festivals im ganzen Land auf, darunter das Bukarester Jazzfestival, Smida, JazzTM, das Sibiu Jazz Festival und Jazz in the Park. Nach ihrem Umzug nach Berlin im Jahr 2023 durchlief die Gruppe einen Wandel und präsentierte sich in neuer Besetzung mit erstklassigen lokalen Musikern. In jüngster Zeit traten sie in renommierten Jazzclubs in Berlin und ganz Deutschland auf, darunter A-Trane, B-flat, Donau, Peppi Guggenheim, Schlot und Blue Note Dresden. KRiSPER verbindet Elemente aus Electric Jazz, Rock und Pop zu einer kontrollierten Klangexplosion. Mit ihrem Interesse an Improvisation, Chaos, Instabilität und der Struktur musikalischer Formen widmet die Band dem Entstehungsprozess ihrer Musik ebenso viel Aufmerksamkeit wie dem Endergebnis.
KRiSPER is a project initiated in 2016 by Romanian pianist Adi Stoenescu. In 2017, KRiSPER released their debut album, Landing on the Comet. Since then, they have participated in major festivals across the country, such as Bucharest Jazz Festival, Smida, JazzTM, Sibiu Jazz Festival, and Jazz in the Park. After relocating to Berlin in 2023, the group underwent a transformation, adopting a new lineup featuring top local musicians. Recently, they have performed in prestigious jazz clubs in Berlin and across Germany, such as A-Trane, B-flat, Donau, Peppi Guggenheim, Schlot and Blue Note Dresden. KRiSPER combines layers of electric jazz, rock, and pop sensibility to generate a controlled explosion of sound. With an interest in improvisation, chaos, instability, and the structure of musical forms, the band is as attentive to the process that gives birth to their music as they are to the final product.
