Chris Hopkins, who was born in Princeton, New Jersey and lives in Bochum, has long been one of the most renowned musicians on the international jazz scene with his melodic, colourful style. Recently, he has won numerous awards such as the "Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik", the "Prix de L'Académie du Jazz (Paris)" and the "Keeper of the Flame". For this extraordinary concert, he presents the "Jazz Kangaroos", an outrageously grooving trio of some of the best musicians from "Down Under" - first and foremost George Washingmachine, certainly the swingingest jazz violinist in the universe, at the same time a disarmingly charismatic singer and entertainer who immediately casts a spell over every audience. Chris Hopkins & Friends play their own compositions and the "Great American Songbook" from Gershwin to Ellington with relish and swing for all it's worth. Casually elegant, rousing, entertaining. An extraordinary international highlight!
The new album "Chris Hopkins meets the Jazz Kangaroos - LIVE!" was also awarded the *Couleurs Jazz Hit!* in Paris and has received numerous enthusiastic reviews from Götz Alsmann, Fono Forum, Crescendo to international trade journals.

Born from a project by the italian Jazz vocalist and composer Simona De Rosa and arranged by polish jazz pianist Michał Ciesielski, DJENUB is an artistic experience based on the evocative themes of travel, reunions, and the discovery of places through melodies of the South and elsewhere. Simona’s soaring vocals and lush musical arrangements paint a picture of the different worlds that she has experienced. The journey begins in her hometown of Naples, and continues onto Spain, Algeria (Djenub from the Arabic meaning of South), Africa, Vietnam and China. The idea of conceiving an album dedicated to the sounds of the world was born in 2013 while she was living in New York. Simona received great acclaim and was awarded by the Mayor of Nassau Country for her "spirit of leadership and dissemination of Italian culture in the United States." Since then, Simona has dedicated her artistic endeavours towards the vision of creating a cultural model that could foster the exchange of ideas, traditions, and cultural and linguistic-musical innovations. Although DJENUB features Simona singing in six different languages (Italian, Neapolitan, Vietnamese, and Spanish, Arabic and English), it successfully represents a bridge between Western and Eastern culture through a single dialect and a shared love of musical exploration between musicians from all around the world. The project has been presented at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Shanghai, Tahui Jazz Festival and the Tsinghua University in Beijing. At the Zurzolo teatro live in Napoli and has been chosen to be part of the program of the European Festival in Hanoi, Vietnam. The music of the German-Brazilian singer and songwriter Juliana Blumenschein aims right at the heart: an airy fusion of Brazilian rhythms with modern jazz sounds. Light yet profound, sensitive and full of joie de vivre, she sings in both English and Portuguese, leaving room for dynamic instrumental passages in between every now and then.
It flakes so lightly as a feather that you can tell the songs were created in the flow of the numerous concerts Blumenschein has played with her quintet since 2018.
As a child, she discovered her love for R'n'B, soul and jazz in addition to classical music. During her jazz vocal studies at the Mannheim University of Music, she began to compose her own songs. This resulted in her debut album A VIDA - an ode to life, which was released on 16 July 2021.

The Cuareim Quartet will present the first single and video of a series at the B-Flat concert, which will end in February with the presentation of the new album "A jazz Story".
In this new project, the quartet will take a look at the history of jazz through the eyes of a string quartet. It reviews the history of jazz through its own poetic and anthropological gaze. These four unique musicians compose a repertoire of original compositions, where each track represents a chapter of the main currents of this music. From the "jazz funerals" of New Orleans to the grand orchestrations of Broadway tunes, from the colourful manners of 1950s "cool jazz" to the energetic and vengeful energy of free jazz, the journey through history alternates between polished compositions and soulful improvisations, all in the service of the expression of these four musicians with strong artistic personalities.
